Technology Sales Executive

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional tenacity and drive to not only meet, but to exceed goals.  He/she will also be an excellent verbal and written communicator whose is adept at building great relationships. Prior software sales experience along with comfort making product presentations is highly desired. This is a business-to-business sales environment that requires positioning a technology solution to both IT and business groups.

We are looking for an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong business acumen, who will not only be able to grow the business, but will also be able to think strategically and identify business opportunities such as partnerships.

What you will be doing…

  • Learn and effectively present Innovative’s solutions to technical and non-technical audiences; maintain consistent competency of Innovative's product offerings and updates
  • Promptly respond to all marketing generated and direct customer leads and inquiries in order to maintain an ongoing pipeline of opportunities
  • Apply Solutions Selling strategies to drive sales of new and existing accounts
  • Apply market research to determine each client’s needs and to create a winning sales strategy
  • Stay ahead of technology trends and on top of market needs and competitive offerings
  • Maintain continuous communication with management regarding opportunities, challenges, industry and competitor news, and overall account status
  • Develop and deliver effective and professional sales presentations
  • Work cooperatively with other Innovative teams including support, delivery, product marketing, and product management. Engage the relevant departments and/or partners to meet clients’ customized solutions requests.
  • Proactively build and grow relationships with strategic partners
  • Utilize sales tools regularly and effectively (Salesforce.com) to document and manage leads, activities, client pipeline, and  proposals through to contracts
  • Participate in sales forecasting and planning
  • Facilitate contractual negotiations and closure with clients
  • Maintain integrity in dealing with internal teams, clients, and partners in a professional manner
  • Support Innovative’s vision, methodologies, and strategies to achieve sales quota and develop positive relationships with clients, vendors, partners, and associates

The qualifications you need….

  • Four year college degree with proven ability to understand and convey analytic and technical concepts
  • At least 2 years experience in sales, preferably technology or software sales
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong commitment and follow-through
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with high levels of intellectual curiosity
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Results-oriented and resourceful, with a strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Effective team player and collaborator
  • Ability and willingness to travel (US and/or internationally)

It’s a plus is you have….

  • Working knowledge of data concepts such as data quality, master data management, data integration, business Intelligence (BI), or similar technologies
  • Prior experience with Salesforce.com and web meeting tools (Go to Meeting)
  • Fluency with other languages
