Marketing Strategy and Innovative Manager

Innovative Systems is looking for an outstanding Marketing Strategy & Innovation Manager to help drive the innovation strategy and execution across our fast-growing business. The Marketing Strategy & Innovation Manager will be part of Innovative’s Product Marketing team. Product Marketing plays a critical role in driving Innovative’s products into the marketplace. The Product Marketing team develops a deep understanding of the market environment and uses that understanding supported by analysis to drive customer awareness of our products and solutions. Our team works cross-functionally moving ideas from conception to execution, developing marketing plans and business models, and managing strategic projects.

What you will be doing…

The ideal candidate will be curious by nature and driven to discover impactful insights, delivering thoughtful and compelling recommendations based on your market research and analysis to influence business decisions and maximize business value. This position offers high levels of responsibility, excellent leadership opportunities, and high visibility to the executive management team, including the CEO and the Board.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identify new insights about the market and customer needs through market research and analysis of external market/regulatory environment. Attend tradeshows, interview prospects, work closely with our User Advisory Group, and be the voice of the customer (VOC).
  • Identify and lead the necessary research - including quantitative and qualitative, primary and secondary research - required to gain market insights and conduct market assessments.
  • Utilize your research and understanding of clients’ needs and the competitive environment to Identify new business opportunities, innovation initiatives, and help determine what new space to enter.
  • Collaborate with product marketing and product management to set, validate and optimize the company’s strategic priorities and opportunities.
  • Advise Product Management and Engineering about desired / needed new features, functions, and existing products’ benefits based on the research.
  • Leverage the market insights to further hone our competitive positioning and translate into Unique Selling Points (USP) and value propositions, and incorporate into our offering and messaging (e.g. webinar topics, marketing awareness campaigns…)
  • Leverage and communicate global knowledge of market insights to assist development of consistent messaging across the company
  • Help formulate the vision of the company and product roadmap
  • Analyst relations - work closely with analysts to identify the market trends and our positions and differentiation within the market
  • Track, measure and analyze key performance indicators and business focus areas across multiple sources
  • Analyze client and market feedback across various dimensions (e.g. client segments, geographies, business lines, etc.) to identify trends and attributes of success
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Management, UX, Sales, Account Management, Marcom, Professional Services, and other departments to assess, prioritize and execute market initiatives

 

The qualifications you need….

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical major / a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or market research.
  • MBA from a top university
  • A minimum of 3 years of strategic marketing experience in a technology company
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Leverage upstream marketing disciplines to develop, execute and measure global marketing strategies and plans
    • Integrate product and portfolio strategies
    • Influence and integrate individuals and teams to execute against strategic plans
    • Partner cross functionally to drive successful completion of projects and drive profitable growth
    • Understand and apply market research, including methodology and analysis to capitalize on market insights and trends
  • Self-starter with superb written and verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical thinking skills
  • Proven leadership ability with strong interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to learn quickly and deliver results
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
  • Results-oriented and resourceful, with a strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and an entrepreneurial mindset

It’s a plus is you have….

  • B2B Marketing experience
  • Understanding of cultural impacts on marketing and buying behavior throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, APAC, and other areas of the world
