Payments Product Manager

Pittsburgh, PA
Full Time
Product Management
Mid Level
Innovative Systems, a worldwide leader of hi-tech data management, AML compliance, and Payment Screening solutions, is looking for a high-achieving detail-oriented Payments Product Manager who wants to be with an organization where they can make a REAL IMPACT!  Innovative provides just the right mix of opportunities.

What’s the challenge?

A Payments Product Manager faces the ongoing challenge of balancing speed, accuracy, and compliance in an environment where regulatory expectations evolve faster than product release cycles. Unlike traditional screening, payments screening requires navigating complex global sanctions regimes, AML obligations, and fraudprevention standards—each with its own data formats, rules, and enforcement nuances. Delivering realtime decisioning while minimizing falsepositive rates becomes a core tension, especially as customers demand instant payments, agentic reviews, and seamless user experiences. Ensuring the product remains technically resilient while integrating with diverse payment rails, thirdparty data providers, and core banking systems adds operational and architectural complexity that must be managed on an ongoing basis.

At the same time, the product manager must understand and operationalize compliance requirements that differ across jurisdictions, industries, and transaction types. This means translating regulatory mandates into actionable product functionalities while addressing customer pain points such as workflow bottlenecks, alert fatigue, screening latency, and evolving risk typologies. Engaging customers is both essential and challenging: they expect ease of use, rapid enhancements, and high configurability to match their internal policies. The PM must continuously prioritize features that minimize customer risk while ensuring the product remains competitive, scalable, and adaptable to new forms of payments.
